Assisting Beyond the Asana

Assisting Beyond the Asana

This course offers a powerful and impactful understanding to the work of hands-on assisting, rooted in the knowledge and experience over the past two decades I share a method that explores so much more than just hands on assisting. With over 15 years of practice and a strong foundation in yoga asana and massage therapy, it blends anatomy, energetics, and intention to help you support students in feeling safe, seen, and deeply connected in their practice. It will transform the way you teach through influencing the way you sequence, cue & overall show up for your students and your own practice.

Whether you're new to assisting or looking to refine your approach, you'll leave with practical tools you can apply immediately and a renewed understanding of how impactful your presence can be.

In this Training, You’ll Learn To:

  • Apply a well-considered approach to both hands-on and verbal assisting

  • Understand the basics of joint mechanics and individual range of motion (ROM)

  • Recognise the intention behind common asana shapes to better support the student in front of you

  • Offer safe, confident hands-on support across all levels of practice

  • Think critically and creatively when working with students or clients

Read carefully the below are two options.
If you’re ready to go deeper into advanced assisting techniques, injury support, one-on-one client development, and mastering the art of intuitive, intentional touch my full 25-hour program offers a comprehensive journey into the heart of this work. This year I am excited to launch a special 50h certificate that is an additional 25h mentoring/understudy program with me (Sarah). This unique offering is a way to develop your skills as a teacher and receive personal feedback, guidance and support on your teaching and assisting journey. As an extension of the 25h program you will be assisting public classes, have private one-on-one sessions to develop skills further and go through feedback and personal development.
